600V Surge and Lightning Arrestor Midnite Solar - MNSPD-600-DC

 

Solar Surge Protection DeviceThe MidNite Solar Surge Protective Device (MNSPD) is a Type 1 device per UL1449 rev3, designed for indoor and outdoor applications. Engineered for both AC and DC electric systems, it provides protection to service panels, load centers or where the SPD is directly connected to the electronic device requiring protection. The 600V model is ideal for gridtie PV combiners and inverter input circuits.

The SPD is offered in three different voltages to maximize the protection level. Protection is achieved by reducing the clamping voltage to a safe level that your system can sustain without damaging any electronics in the system. The Midnite SPD's are mounted on the outside of a PV combiner and have blue LED's viewable from a distance that show your system is still protected from power surges. The MidNite SPD's are built to last. Each MNSPD is capable of clamping a 115,000 amp surge.
